We had a pretty cool storm Friday I was very happy we don't have enough storms in my opinion lol

Slacker I am lol

So I haven't been posting I know not that anyone reads this anyways lol I have recently started a job so my time has been limited but I have been taking a few pics here and there. I really like my job it is fun and there is always something that needs to be done I hate jobs where you do your work and then sit around twiddling your thumbs or trying to find something to do. However between my job my kids my hubby and the house work it doesn't leave a lot of time for anything else...I'm sure as I get into a nice routine with everything I will figure out how to make time for other things. I did my house cleaning and laundry this morning I'm making lunch now for myself and the rug rats so I have a quick min to type this up hahaha so here is a few pics I have taken recently hahaha more like the last few weeks!!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. While I have not been posting I have been spending the holiday time with my family and making stuff. I did some stuff in my daughters room. She LOVES the smurfs (mostly smurfette) so I found some fabric at Walmart that's pink and covered in smurfette so I got 4 yards of that and a yard and a half of some plain pink (close to the same pink as the one with smurfette) 2 yards for the curtains 1 1/2 of both fabrics for the blanket and 1/2 for a pillow case you can see the pics below...
Our Christmas was great the kids made out like little bandits of course lol I am very happy with everything my hubby and kids got me I am right now enjoying season 6 of Ncis (I was missing that one and season 9) I also got my much needed season 7 of The Closer :) the hubs went back to work today :( and my stepson was supposed to fly into today but cause of weather he couldn't so he will now be arriving tomorrow. And I am also working on making myself a new purse out of my totally awesome pirate fabric (I love pirata) I will post pics of that when I am done :)

Yesterday's fun.....

Yesterday the hubs and I took the kids to our local museum. It's a small one but we have a yr pass to it, every Saturday they have kids corner where the kids get to do some kind of craft. We also have 3 replicas of Christopher Columbus ships, and you get to take a tour. The kids and I have taken the tour before but the hubs hasn't so we did that too. So the kids did their craft where they made a Santa wall hanging out of construction paper cotton and glitter. Then we walked over to the Big Bugs to look at those again then we walked over to the kids section so they could play for a little bit and then we took the tour of the ships. It was a good time and we enjoyed being out. Then we came home for alittle bit and then the kids wanted to go to the Chinese buffet place for dinner (my daughter loves the bananas with the red sauce rice and green beans and my son likes their pizza and rolls). After we splurged and stuffed our selves then we went to lowes and the hubs bought bricks to do something in our backyard (I think he is gonna do it today) so here is some pics from our day yesterday (I know I should have posted it yesterday but I got went to Joann's I'm gonna make my daughter new curtains for her room and I got lazy on the couch watching the hubs play Xbox lol)

Yay fishing......

So the hubs and I went fishing this morning after dropping the kids off at school. It was nice to be out there, they weren't interested in eating squid today so we didn't catch anything. Did find a cool hermit crab in a beautiful shell and of course there was birds around lol. Mostly it was nice to just be out I love the water. After Xmas we are getting kayaks and are gonna get back into kayak fishing. We used to do a lot of that when we lived in San Diego Ca. I am looking forward to that it was always fun and you never had a day when you didn't catch something. Anyways it is a good thing we weren't fishing for dinner cause we would have been starving tonight lol. Here's some pics from today :)

My son has been sick.....

My poor son has been sick, he has spent the whole weekend sick and now he is home from school today still sick. I hope he feels better tomorrow and is able to go to school since this is the last week before Xmas break when he will be home for 2 weeks anyways....lol last night I made him and my stepson sick mask in Star Wars fabric that came out awesome. It was nice to break out my sewing machine I love so much. My husband got it for me for Xmas last year it is a seeing and embroidery machine it is a Brother Innov-is 950D this baby is awesome :). So here are some pics of my project.

Sad today

Well tonight will not be some mundane post of the little things that happen in my day. Today I am very sadden by the news that happened in Ct. what a sad day to hear that someone sick individual (I mean he had to be sick to that) could (shoot anyone at all) but most sadly a elementary school and kill 20 children and 6 adults. Today more so then everyday I am thankful and blessed to have my children, I can not imagine the pain and heartache those parents are going through, my heart breaks for them. I know there is a reason for everything god does, but I can not for life of me see any reason god would have for this. The only thing I can hope for is that god comforts those who most certainly need him. I know those families are receiving the prayers of everyone. I hope you all have hugged your children and and given them extra love. Remember folks never take anyone or anything for granted. Good night.
